FAQ

The best time to pick Road Freight as your method of transportation, is when the distance is short to medium. If you require flexible scheduling, door to door delivery or need to reach a more remote area, opting for road is a good choice. Road is also ideal for all size loads, perishable goods and time-sensitive deliveries, with lower handling risks too.

Regarding shipment sizing with Road Freight, the load can be of all sizes as both Full Truckload (FTL) and Less-Than Truckload (LTL) are accepted. Road Freight can be particularly more cost-effective for smaller load shipments, compared to opting for other transportation methods, as a business only pays for the space their goods take up, and the rest of the space is shared with other shippers.

The typical documentation needed for Road Freight transport includes;

  • Consignment Note (or CMR Note for international shipments)
  • Commercial Invoice and Packing List
  • Customs Declarations and EORI Number for cross-border moves
  • Vehicle & Driver Documents (licence, insurance, operator’s licence)
